Bucket list item for Wayne who grew up going to Wrigley field. More positive pub from the elite 8 run

Maybe he'll throw it from 2nd base facing backwards?

Maybe he'll throw it from 2nd base facing backwards? Nah. Tink's going to come out in aviators, throw an 80 mph gyroball and walk off smoking a cigar.

Parker said Nolan Ryan came out at age 63 or 65 and threw a first pitch and was clocked at 85 mph. Incredible...

I'll always remember Robin Ventura charging the mound and getting put in a head lock by Nolan and then absorbing multiple punches to the head. Not quite as dramatic as Dave Stewart karate kicking a mound charger but a classic moment.

Not quite as dramatic as Dave Stewart karate kicking a mound charger but a classic moment. 46-year-old Nolan Ryan knew how to handle his business. 26-year-old Robin Ventura is lucky Nolan's catcher Pudge blocked the first punch, so he only really had to take one uppercut to the face. If this fight had been handled like in hockey with no interference until on the ice, Ventura might not have been able to get up.<img src="//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/bbcode/video-preview.png" video="<iframe width="726" height="408" src=" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>" alt="Video Preview">

Couldn't find it (someone will). How 'bout Wayne Newton and the Cubs instead?
Someone forgot to tell WN that it was baseball, not bowling. I'm sure WT fared much better.

He's a big dude, makes Randy Johnson look small, not to mention that mound.

Would have been cool to have Nick on the receiving end.
