Cremona, famed hometown of Antonio Stradivari, for which Stradivarius violins are named. Man, it must suck to get paid to tool around Italy, playing basketball in Serie A. In other news, Stevie Thompson signed a two-year contract with UNAHOTELS Reggio Emilia, about 100 clicks to the Southeast of Cremona on the other side of Parma. Reggio Emilia is in the Europe Cup this year in Group D with BC Avtodor (Saratov, Russia); Casademont Zaragoza (Zaragoza, Spain); and Hapoel Giboa Galil (Gan Ner, Israel). So, between the Europe Cup and Serie A, Stevie may get to see a good amount of Europe and the Middle East.

While he isn't making NBA money, LBA is the top national league in Italy and well regarded. Basically if you going to play for a national team, Spain or Italy are the two best. Light googling indicates foreign player typically get $180 to $350K per year in the LBA.
Not bad at all.
