Just a brief comment or two. Basketball speed is not the same as foot speed. Period. So who is quickest, or fastest, from A to B is never the entire issue in the game of basketball.
The more important issue in offensive basketball is how quickly you can get from A to B while controlling the ball, and your body, without error. Using names we know: OSU player G. Hunt is faster and quicker than PP ever will be...But he cannot, and most likely never will, be able to get from A to B on the court with total control of the ball, and mastery of his body position, the way PP can. PP is basketball fast and he beats players day in and day out who are faster and quicker than he is not because of his raw speed but because of the speed with which he can make the ball do what he wants it to without losing his body control....
Raw speed and basketball speed are not the same. PP's got basketball speed, and lots of it. G. Hunt has got foot speed, and hand speed, and lots of it. But no way in hell do Hunt & Pritchard have the same speed where it counts in offensive basketball. GO BEAVS!!
