Good for him! Get an advanced degree and play for an SEC team. We’ll miss you, C-launch! Best of luck!

They also had the grad program he’s interested in, while OSU did not.

According to this story on OregonLive, Claunch just found out "earlier this month" that OSU didn't have a masters program in commercial real estate. I'm not even sure how that's possible. Also, just for fun I tried to find other schools with MBA real real estate programs: Cal Cincinnati Florida Georgia Penn USC Texas Texas A&M Wisconsin Given that short list, I'm not surprised he ended up at the school where he had a connection to the coaching staff at all.

Graduate school applications are due a lot earlier than a month ago. I'm sure exceptions are made for athletes who want to stay at OSU, though.

Best of luck to Claunch. I thought he wanted to be a fire fighter though. An article from November talked about his fire fighting goal. A fire fighter who works the commercial real estate market in his spare time?

A fire fighter who works the commercial real estate market in his spare time? Knowing the " work" schedule of firefighters, he'd certainly have plenty of time for a side gig. The side gig is usually firefighting, rather than the other way around.

Mikey Hoehner was the starter, but he graduated. Taylor Smith was the next guy up this year. He was a .231 hitter, but he was third in the team in home runs with seven. Kimble Schuessler was third in line, but he transferred to Texas. Robert Antonetti redshirted this year. Texas A&M had also recruited Kyle Lovelace, but he signed with the Angels. The only other catching recruit was Chanden Scamardo from College Station.
