All 4 Beavs drafted were pitchers: Abel, Watkins, Salgado, Burns.
No incoming Beavs picked. Welcome Mason Guerra, Jacob Kmatz !!.... etc.
Unpicked 2021 Beavs that were draft eligible, and that I believe have remaining college eligibility (and could return): Frisch, Pfennigs, Claunch, J. Dukart, Mundt, MELTON
Draft Eligible, players are limited to $20,000 signing bonuses as free agents....that could include Armstrong, Mully, PJ, Ober. I believe their Beaver eligibility is completed.
Not listed on MLB database as either drafted or undrafted: Joe Casey

McLaughlin was coming back? I know he was a Beav in 2020 and transferred out. Didn't know he was planning to come back?

Fellow-transferee Kai Murphy apparently didn't think JD was coming back - if I correctly interpret Murhpy's May 2021 tweet regarding McLaughlin's selection to an AZ JC 1st Team All-Conference Team
Kai > J.D. "out the mud and we neva goin’ back! ...prouda you bro"
If JD was planning on coming back, I guess he'll have to decide whether ~125 K is enough to dissuade him.

Re: Hambley - Not sure why it's showing 2 tweets, it's obviously the 2nd one down.
In the 18th round, 3 or 4 guys probably won't sign, usually high schoolers. There were 6 drafted in the 18th, plus a JUCO guy. I'd say the chances are decent he comes to Corvallis.

Are there going to be that many kids out there thinking that 20k and the chance to play A ball is worth it when they are going to have the ability to go to college? The thing that makes MLB's 20k offer attractive is that there are so few schollies in baseball per team that if you can't get close to a full ride, you have to rely on the school to be able to cobble a lot of money from other pools to keep you from going into debt to continue your college career.
I need a fan agent to negotiate my post-grade understand wtf all this is going to mean to our sports degree program, and my NIL for licensing the term "fan agent".

You might see some mid-level recruits opt for that if they’re offered. But most guys will want to come to school to increase their draft stock in hopes of getting a six figure signing bonus down the road.

Jacob Kmatz ended the season as Baseball America's best player in New Mexico. I have high hopes for both Guerra and Kmatz. Will Frisch was named a Freshman All-American by Collegiate Baseball a little over a month ago. Ober still has a year left.
