MedPage Today, which is a mainstream source, published the results of the Ivermectin studies. The result-more study needed. Lol. Anyway, I just posted this note simply because Thickhead, who is a good Beaver guy, wasn’t outrageously off base in his earlier thread. I guess we will eventually get more reliable info as there are several more controlled studies being undertaken.

Of course the question was an issue as a prevention and/or possible treatment prior to the vaccination. I had never heard of "Raw Story" so I looked it up. Quite a publication. Not doubting your story though. link

This is the way it is SOO. I am fully vaccinated and have been since my first opportunity. Perfect social distanced and masker partially because I am an asshole. I have deferred jury duty through all the peaks of the virus. There are also too many breakthrough cases for my liking, and Deschutes is still fairly high for positives.
The local courthouse has opened for the first time, and social distancing isn’t possible in the crowded selection room. Fine. Civic duty. Anyway, a coughing, sneezing, congested, young lady comes in and sits right next to me in the selection process period. Hence, my wish for some positive news on post-exposure treatments. By the way, the MedPage Today report doesn’t contain the media bias from either side, so I went directly off that source. Now, SOO, if you don’t like my reasoning, you can shove it up your ass.

Also, why on earth would you need treatment "prior to vaccination" when you can set up a vaccination appointment essentially on request?

Also, why on earth would you need treatment "prior to vaccination" when you can set up a vaccination appointment essentially on request? Um, because it wasn’t invented yet.

And vaccines don't build to full immunity-strength to limit any infection for several weeks, and with the Delta variant you need both shots of the main vacs. So treatment options, such as infusions of antibodies is still needed for those circumstances too.

If that is incorrect I stand corrected. www.fda.gov/consumers/consumer-updates/why-you-should-not-use-ivermectin-treat-or-prevent-covid-19
