It looks like LSU is being patient. You see predictions that LSU will hire Godwin from East Carolina or Bianco from Ole Miss, but how credible are those prognostications? Sullivan from Florida was mentioned frequently early in the search but elected to stay in Gainesville. Godwin has high interest in the job but if he was LSU's leading candidate, They could have hired him weeks ago.
LSU stayed patient and now appears to have interest in Arizona's Johnson. Several sources close to LSU confirmed Kendal Roger's assertion that Pat Casey was the coach they badly wanted but didn't get. Allegedly, LSU offered Casey a package coaches dream of - an airtight contract, making him one of the top paid coaches in the country and perks usually reserved for football coaches.
Now Rodgers asserts that Yeskie may be on his way to coach with Schlossnagle at A&M. I'm a Rogers fan, he has credibility and has been consistently informed. He seems well connected and doesn't float rumors or hypotheticals. Kendall Rogers is informed and I make it a point to pay attention to him.
If LSU were to hire Johnson, would Yeskie be a leading candidate to replace him? Interesting question, no?

Per the tweet above, unless someone is very good at photoshop, the Yeskie move is a done deal.

Sid Finch….. solid source I’m told …..TAMATRIX…..

I'm not vouching for Sid or counting on him, counting on Rogers and article came elsewhere, just added it from Finch as interesting

To me looking in from the outside, I never thought Johnson and NY had much chemistry. I am not sad to see either one move on from the Pac12 to be honest.

If you noticed the interaction in the dugout between the two coaches, the body language wasn't good. On two occasions I suspected Johnson made pitching changes without consulting Yeskie - I could be wrong on that but the look on Yeskies face with Johnson on the bump was disdainful.
In two dugout interviews I heard with Johnson - once in our series with UA and the other in Omaha, he did not mention Yeskie by name nor did he acknowledge any contribution from Yeskie with the improved Arizona staff this year. If he did, I missed it.
A little more than odd.

I am thinking you can add their very talented freshman pitcher TJ Nichols to the above statement and wonder stay or follow Yeskie

Easy decision for all three...
Head North to Corvallis. We even have Valley of the Sun type of weather to greet them!

Has anyone ever seen Yeskie smile? He's the most serious looking dude I've ever seen.
