Jack Cherry, 6-5 guard from Nevada, will be walking on. Averaged 14.4 ppg, 6 rpg, 2 apg and 1.6 spg as a junior. Also shot 42% and 34% from 3. Nevada didn’t have b-ball season, so he didn’t have a senior year. Who knows, maybe a late bloomer. Or maybe he never gets off the bench. Regardless, welcome and good luck to him.

Seems kind of strange. I’m sure there is more to the story. Color me intrigued.

Seems kind of strange. I’m sure there is more to the story. Color me intrigued. Doesn't seem overly strange to me. 1 year of varsity ball and did quite well, then no senior season. It's not a surprise he wasn't heavily recruited. What is interesting is that a coach at another school (Incline) reached out to Wayne and said you gotta take a look at this kid. Could be a steal of a walk-on, or maybe not, you never know.

What's not to like, big guard, can handle the ball, looks stronger that ET when he showed up, and maybe a bit more athletic for a 16 year old. Looks like a great pickup to me..

A lot of our incoming frosh were stronger than ET when he arrived on campus. But none of them were Cal H.S. POY!!🏀 Just a little perspective when using ET as a comparison to other incoming frosh... GO BEAVS!!
