Incoming recruit Travis Bazzana is hitting .800 (8-10) in two games with the Corvallis Knights this summer. Obviously not going to keep that up, but it looks as if offensive help is on the way. He's 6-0, 195, bats left, from Sydney (Australia, not Montana). He was 5-for-6 last night.

Let's hope he doesn't run the bases backwards.... Seems to do quite well hitting standing on his head. This is one aussie with a great baseball future, sounds like an OSU kinda kid in a big way.

How big is Travis? Henry mentioned 6' but everything I've seen in the Aussie media has him at 5-9 or 5-10 and 165-170.
The Stdney Blue Sox roster has him at 5-9 and Team Australia Juniors have him at 5-9.
What's up?
Growth Spurt in Corvallis?

Well, he is only 18. Teenagers grow. Not a big kid, has a nice swing though and looks good at 2nd.

Seems to have that 'hard nosed' competitiveness that takes athletes to another level ! Should be strong up the middle next year - Catcher - not settled, but some great options to choose from Center Field - not settled - but Tyree Reed will have something to say about that position ( hope he gets over knee and shoulder issue ) Shortstop - Dernedde Second Base - Travis Bazzanna (potential) Third base - Dukart
Obviously lots of time to actually shake out - but, stars seem to be lining up for a special couple of years First base - Melton Right Field - Meckler
Also lots of pitching options - especially with some new guys coming in too ! Left Field - Forrester

Forrester is not playing OF. Switch Melton and Forrester and that makes sense. Although, Melton may end up in CF with his speed.
