Any ideas on how it makes "the state of college WBB" stronger? I can see how it's nice to share the same distance with Men's college BB, FIBA, and WNBA. Also makes for less lines on the floor to trip over

The ONLY thing I can think of is that it makes the player evaluations and WNBA prospects more predictable at the next level !

Probably helps a little bit with spacing. I doubt it will make much of an impact. I’ll be mostly looking forward to only one three point line.

A lot of times the women shoot behind the men’s anyway just out of simplicity visually of ensuring they are behind the line. I would expect it to drop the overall shooting percentage a bit, but doe players like Aleah and TvO, they already generally shoot from well off the line anyway.

I once heard Ralph Miller claim that a player's shooting accuracy drops 1% every two inches beyond the 3-point line. So, for example, shooting 10 inches behind the line would cause one's accuracy drop 5%.....Two feet beyond the line would drop one's accuracy 12%.....How he gathered this information (if he ever did!!!) I do not know....
I will say, however, for years I ran a fun drill with my players where my best 3-point shooters lined up 36 inches behind my weaker 3-point shooters and they would then have 10 shot shooting contest. Almost never would the better shooters overcome the 36" disadvantage....So, after years of running this drill, I learned that distance really makes a BIG difference in shooting accuracy beyond the 3 point line....
So yes, the extra foot, or so, added to the 3 point line is likely to reduce the accuracy of a lot of WBB players....Not all, but enough to make a difference. GO BEAVS!!

22 feet, 1¾ inches? Really? What is so magical about this number? So next time it will be increased to 23 feet 9 7/12 inches? (hey, why not?)

In the majority of the world 22' 1 3/4" measures out to 6.75 meters....A manageable number if your mind is not locked into feet, inches and fractions of inches. GO BEAVS!!

FWIW the delta is 1'-4 3/4" which works out to 1.8 ball diameters (NCAA wbb ball).
