Just relaying what Parker said on his show today..... OK. That's weird. Thanks for clarifying. Abel started.

I'd say emphasis on struggling

I'd say emphasis on struggling Doesn't make any difference if KA is on or not, we're being no-no by a mediocre suc pitcher, this was a quick game wasn't it? looking like another "wonder what we're doing" weekend...Big question now is, will we get one hit or not..... :-(

Its momentum

Will Frisch Oregon State 2.28 2. Robert Ahlstrom Oregon 2.37 3. Sean Mullen UCLA 2.45 4. Cullen Kafka Oregon 2.65 5. Kevin Abel Oregon State 2.83 6. Cooper Hjerpe Oregon State 2.91 7. Logan Gerling Washington 3.02 8. Isaac Esqueda USC 3.03
Oregon State scored one on Ahlstrom in two chances, zero on Mullen, one on Kafka in two chances and two on Gerling.
Statistically, Esqueda is the fifth-best conference starter that Oregon State has faced. The Oregon State hitters need to step up.

I think Kevin turned a corner tonight. I think Coach told him that no, he wasn't coming out after the 4th, that the game was his and he'd better get used to it. A wake up call, and the last 5 innings he and the bullpen made it count!

He doesn't have the stuff KA has, but he locates, and battles. Their coach said he's the most mentally tough guy on their team....that's why he's their Friday guy.....he got left in too long tonight KA isn't a Pac12 Friday guy right now. He may have good stuff, but his command is not there. He consistently gets behind in counts, gives free passes that end up scoring, or, he has to throw hittable pitches because he's behind in the count, and he pays for it.

A wake up call, and the last 5 innings he and the bullpen made it count! I hope ur right. He did pitch out of trouble to keep it 4-0....that was big. The thing is, our Friday night opponents only get more dangerous from here on out.....by quite a bit.

KA has not returned anywhere near to normal and nobody likes to say the obvious. The kid has earned our respect. The Book is now pretty clear on Kevin, hunt the FB. Looks like he needs to more of a Junk Baller and hope his FB returns. His FB down used to be a killer. Now it is killing him. I still think he has a chance to be outstanding for the beav's this year. Go Kevin! Go Beav's
