Good for him. Coach Z may not have gotten the results many wanted or expected but he represented OSU with class and was/is a very good guy.
Jamestown has a very good athletic tradition for a smaller school. It's a city of about 20K, right on I-94 midway between Bismarck and Fargo and is home to the world's largest bison, a huge statue adjacent to the interstate. He'll make a killing on real estate, selling a Corvallis house with no realtor's fees (his wife worked for T & C) and buying in that market.
Darren Erstad grew up in Jamestown. Their AD used to work in sports info at Idaho and was at NMSU when we played there in 2001.

Ok, so who the heck does OSU get to coach - Z was supposed to be the 5* pickup. Now we have a team that needs upgrades and I guess the only thing that is a positive is that with fewer and fewer schools wrestling, the good recruits we are after might hang with us better than other sports where there are coaching changes.

You realize we hired Chris Pendelton at the end of March last season right? We have a coach now.
Z must have been idle, or at least out of coaching, the last year. Amid the pandemic, that is understandable. Now he has landed at a school...good for him!

Dude, you clearly don’t follow OSU wrestling closely because Zalesky hasn’t been OSU’s head coach for over a year. Ever heard the name Chris Pendleton? By the way, Dale Thomas is still dead. |

Anything to add a little levity - I think I lost my mind when it was announced we were going back into Extreme settings in Benton County......and it got busy - sometimes work and trying to type sports doesn't go hand in hand I mean, look at the guys doing "sports reporting" at the paper that shall not be named. |
