They will start the season in the old Eastern League, now called AA Northeast. Very catchy. Also on the team is Cameron Bishop, who pitched for the Knights a couple summers. www.milb.com/news/break-camp-roster-announcedHere's where I could find other Beavers (may have missed some): Andrew Moore is on Toledo's (AAA East, old International) injured list. KJ Harrison is at AAA Rochester (Nationals). Trevor Larnach and Caleb Hamilton are at triple-A St. Paul (Twins). Sam Gaviglio is at Round Rock (AAA Rangers). Andrew Susac is at triple-A Indianapolis (Pirates). Ben (Wetzler) Holmes is at triple-A Iowa (Cubs). Steven Kwan is at AA Akron (Indians). Christian Donahue is at AA Tennessee (Cubs). Nate Esposito is at AA NW Arkansas (Royals). Jake Thompson is at High A Greenville (Red Sox). Grant Gambrell is at High A Quad Cities (Royals).

Sweet! Adley & Cadyn - Teammates again. Unless something shifts a bit, one is on their way up, and the other is nearing a proverbial endpoint. Good luck to both! They live forever in Beaver hearts.

Does Adley know he’s at an endpoint? Cadyn has not progressed yet with the bat...brilliant fielder he may be, the Orioles can only be expected to allow him a finite amount of time to get that straightened out. 2018 .630 ops, 2019 .740 ops. 2019 138 SO in 385 ab in Class A. He's a standout in my all-time brilliance list re:glove/SS fielding range....but the bat....the bat?

After a really bad rookie year (114 Ks in 531 ABs), Mark Belanger never struck out more than 69 times in a season. He finished with roughly a 6-8 W/SO ratio. Cadyn's got a ways to go there.

I thought that he was there like a week-and-a-half ago, but it is hard for me to keep up.

Yes, and how many times did Belanger hit the ball out of the infield? But the O's won a lot of games. The left side of the infield was tremendous defensively.

The point was, Belanger found a way to quit striking out and found a way to become enough of a productive offensive player that, when added to his defense, kept him in the lineup. That's what Grenier needs to do. And no amount of defense can help him if he's striking out once in every three at-bats.

I wish the best for Cadyn. When his hitting comes up, I can only think of that Wednesday night in Omaha, top of the 9th, two out, down 1 run....
I'd add that he was hitting second on a very talented team at that time.

Just kidding, he came through with a great stroke after Arkansas gave him a second chance. and HE CAN do it with the bat, he just hasn't so far at A Ball. 2018 in 30 PAC 12 games, Cadyn hit .345 with an .890 ops...so there's that. He really came on that season, performing well once the PAC-12 season started.

I see Tyler Malone has been assigned to El Paso, the Padres AAA team. I'm surprised. Maybe last year with no official games he developed a lot.
