Did some of you actually WATCH the RBs and LBs taken ahead of JJ and RH? There IS a difference. It may be slight. Hard to see (with orange colored glasses) initially, or at a glance, but those players taken ahead of them EARNED it. Has NOTHING to do with disrespect, nor is it a critique on either Beaver. I don’t know who RH is, but JJ is better than 3 or 4 of the guys taken ahead of him. Is RH, Ron Howard?

They run with more purpose, vision and violence. My take. My opinion. Oh well.

I don’t think “respect” has anything to do with it.

Nashon is a 6-4 corner and ran a great 40 time. Jamar ran a poor 40 time. Ham,for whatever reason had a lousy 2020...no production at all. For Jamar, running backs aren't valued high in the draft. You can get a good one later on. All three guys will get a chance to make a team

He would have got drafted higher if he either declared last year or opted out this year.

Jermar could have come back another year. Not sure about Hamilcar, but I believe with Covid he could have had another year to showcase himself as well. Aside from selfishly wanting to see them in a Beaver uniform next year, would another year actually help them in regards to draft status, or is it more important to just get in the league and start proving yourself?

Jermar to the Lions...I'm sure that Rashed will get a FA deal by the end of the day. I feel bad for Hamilcar, dude deserved to be drafted. But I can see why no one took him, he played badly in 2020. If I'm a GM, I'm probably going to get absolutely killed for drafting a DE/OLB with exactly zero sacks on the season. Bummer, but at least he got invited to the party and if he's good enough, he'll stick around. Go Jets! (first time I've ever said/typed that).

Bummer, but at least he got invited to the party and if he's good enough, he'll stick around. Go Jets! (first time I've ever said/typed that). Hamilcar went from a trajectory of becoming borderline 1st round pick after 2019 to completely falling off the map in 2020. Clearly there was some kind of injury or other issue hampering him as he was hardly even a shadow of his 2019 self. It is one of those cautionary tales, He is likely drafted fairly high coming off his 2019 year. It does suck for him. I do think Jermar absolutely got screwed... but this year looked really weak overall for RBs. 18 total taken, only 4 in the first 3 rounds. Half of all the RBs were taken in the last two rounds. Last year (2020) also had 18 RBs taken, but 10 were taken in the first 3 rounds and 14 in the first 4. in 2019, 25 RBs were taken well distributed across the rounds. of that 2019 class, a solid 13 of them are starters or significant time shares in RBBCs. of that 2020 class, 11 of those 18 were starters and/or significant contributors. Jermar left in a year where RBs were not in demand, in a position already undervalued. I will say at least Jermar went to a team that needs decent RBs. Detroit really only has one promising RB on roster in Swift, and he is poor out of the backfield. Jermar has a chance to play early I think.

Many players have had injury plagued senior seasons, but were still highly coveted based on prior performance. I am betting that several teams had Hamilcar come in for physicals. He had a really good pro day too, and so my own thought is that there were still enough medical concerns to make teams wary.
Go show them just how wrong they were, Hamilcar, Beaver Nation is rooting hard for you!

Go show them just how wrong they were, Hamilcar, Beaver Nation is rooting hard for you! He’s got some other issues as a projected player in the NFL. He’s too small to be a DE and not fast enough to be an LB. He needs to find a place that can define a role for him.
