If Arizona lands Rogers, whatever their current pre-season Pac-12 ranking is, it will immediately move up two places. In terms of recent OSU players I'd say she most resembles Destiny Slocum, in terms of Oregon players she most resembles PaoPao. She's no Aari McDonald, but in my limited view, she is the closest thing in the current transfer portal to her. Barnes is looking more and more like a players coach who is rapidly becoming a coaches coach. I'll repeat myself one more time (since there is ample precedent for that here on Benny's😎): I don't want her to end up at either Arizona or Oregon.... GO BEAVS!! I'll go on record as saying I'll be mildly surprised if Endyia ends up at Arizona this fall, even with the social media connections we've seen. They've added some really strong forwards for this fall, so if they were to land Endyia, they would be top 2 in the conference in my 'way to early' look.

Has there been any demand for this? Or maybe this is to answer critics about the women not being treated fairly compared to the men at Tourney time. Let's add in 4 more cannon fodder teams to show how much we're embracing equality. I guess if you are one of the extra 4 it makes it worth it.

Why were there 4 extra teams added to the men's tournament? Drop those and it goes back to an even bracket. Then it would be equal.
It will be interesting to see how it affects attendance of the first two rounds and even beyond.

I think having the top 16 seeds host the first and second round is very good for the game - puts a bunch of people who are actual fans in the seats versus a paucity of people at the neutral site. Why does the NCAA always seem to take a good thing and screw it up?

Why does the NCAA always seem to take a good thing and screw it up? Because they are stupid and arrogant suits. Their policies in the last twenty years have just about sealed the death nole for college spots as we knew it. They have pushed their power and control for so long that going over the line they now have lost far more than any gains they ever hoped to make. This move is just another example of their attempt to influence things they should just leave as it is. They have lost so much imfluence and control that this is just another last ditch effort to appear to be still relevant.
