Thanks for the update.
Just curious. What is the normal route for wnba coaches? Do they come from college wbb or from the nba?
I've noticed a couple things from the few wnba games I've watched, they aren't any better at shooting than college players and they have poor fundamentals. Double dribbles and poor passing and of course the traveling. You would think that since this is their "job" they would be better.

Syd actually got some decent PT tonight. Close to 20 minutes. 8 points on only 2 FGA (a 3 and 5 FTs). Watched part of it. Looked like she was trying to share the ball and create some offensive flow, while her teammates were taking turns jacking shots (and missing, over and over again). Agreed. She looked good out there. She also had a nice steal that led to a teammate's 3. Hopefully she gets some big minutes again next game because it's Syd's team against Sabrina's this Friday, 7 EST on YES. I know where I'm gonna be!

Mystics 101, Liberty 72...who saw that coming?!
Sabrina had a so-so night (for her). Syd got in 15 minutes, 6 points and a couple of rebounds (she needs to pick up some assists).
A real surprise tonight with a no-win team going against an undefeated one featuring the league's young superstar (although granted, it's early).

Wiese has 12 at the half on 4-4 behind the arc today. I think she's been starting recently.

Dang it, I was gonna watch. I saw the time listed somewhere as 1 pm, I guess that was East Coast time. Turned it on w/ 29 seconds left in the game.

Regular season concluded today. Mystics were in control of their own destiny for the 8th and final playoff spot, but they lost (so did the next team in line, LA, so NY and Ionescu pulled off the ultimate backing into the playoffs after going 2-9 since the Olympics break).
Not a good year for Syd. Shooting was abysmal, 32% overall and 29% from 3. It's too bad, she really found a role and played it well last year with LA. She actually averaged slightly more minutes w/ Washington this season, but scoring fell from 6.8 to 4.4 ppg and her shooting cratered. She was at 50% overall and 47% from 3 last year.
Connecticut looks unbeatable, 14 straight wins dating back to before the Olympics break, top seed heading into the playoffs. Las Vegas is #2. Seattle fell from the top spot pre-Olympics to now #4 seed.

Going OT, but other Pac 12 or West Coast players still alive as the playoffs are down to 4 teams.
Kelsey Plum ended the season absolutely on fire, she looks pretty much like she did in college. She's making defenders look silly and causing opponents major problems. Continued her recent play in Game 1 w/ 25, 20 in the 2nd half.
Courtney Vandersloot from Kent, WA and Gonzaga recorded only the 2nd triple double in a playoff game in WNBA history, and also set a new playoff record w/ 18 assists. It was a double OT game, so maybe a bit of an asterisk. But still an amazing game and the Sky grabbed a 1-0 lead over the top seeded Sun.
