Beat me to it, Dave. The selections are 16 of the 17 teams with the best RPI (Coastal Carolina at 12 was left out).
No West Coast sites? The Pac-12 is down, but it is sure as heck not that down. Arizona had a good RPI and were effectively the fourth-best team in the Pac-12. The fourth-best team in the Pac-12 is better than the seventh-best team in the SEC. This sets a very bad precedent.
The Pac-12 needs a tournament something awful. Utah winning the conference was a black eye.

They usually only have two or three sites out west, even in a good year. When we have gone on the road in the past decade, the closest site has been somewhere in Texas. I recall Texas, Florida, Virginia, Louisiana, and Tennessee. I might have missed a few, but you get the idea.
We just have to be one of the three seeds that wins their Regional. Unusual? Yes. Impossible? No.
