Interesting that a game showcasing by far the best shooter in the history of the game playing at a level that’s extremely rare is uninteresting to some here. It’s not Ralph Miller basketball, so I guess it’s not worth watching.
I’m personally not a huge NBA fan either, but do enjoy watching players like Curry and Lillard alter the league. I get that it doesn’t have much of a team element to it, but it just continues to amaze me that these players can shoot at this range effectively no matter what defenses do.
And you can crap on the NBA for all I care here - they aren’t struggle for fans or revenue.

Or how viewership is down more than a third below the already putrid numbers from the year previous?

But the owners will take a hit when the next round of tv contracts comes up. Then the players will, and they’ll wonder what happened.

However, since the NBA subsidizes the WNBA, which loses around 10M/yr, I’m more concerned about those losses impacting the WNBA’s existence than owners/players getting a few million less.

True! The players are going to get a rude awakening however!
