I don't know if it's just Orange-colored glasses, but I don't see many pro-level BB players that are half the athlete that GP2 is. Is that wrong?

Per CBS Sportsline. Hope that his good play continues and that he sticks! He was just named the 2021 G League Defensive Player of the Year a little more than a month ago. His second 10-day stint ends on the 27th. If Golden State want him after that, they have to sign him.

I tried to watch GS-Philly last night to see if he played. Not a minute. I kept thinking "ok, now they have to put him in" as the Warriors were playing matador defense. Nope.
The game was terrible. Entire game was all about bro on bro, Steph vs Seth. Practicably unwatchable. I hate the NBA.

If you don’t like the NBA, you must be ragging on the men’s team aspirations. 🙄 Queue the outrage. Haha, well if I offended anyone they will just have to accept my wholehearted "don't care." Other's mileage may vary with the NBA, but my experience with the league was summarily ruined and cemented while I was working as a "utility" in TV production from the late 90's to about 2010. Watching from feet away as Shaq steam rolled and cleared Sabas out over and over again on his way to "greatness" during the Western Conf Finals in '98 was basically enough to ruin the league for me for forever. Shaq, who had zero moves at the time and was just a huge athlete was going against a guy who used to be a great athlete, but had ALL the moves. Time after time, Shaq would get the ball on the block and get frustrated. Because he had NO moves. So, he would just clear Sabonis out with a vicious elbow. About half the time there would be a whistle, and people were thinking "finally, they are going to call a foul on him." and the foul would go against Sabonis! It was utter garbage. Anyone who watched that series knows exactly what I'm talking about. After spending some time in the belly of the beast I can tell you the NBA is about 98% show and hype, and about 2% sport. And it's a damn shame. I was a HUGE Blazers fan after the '89-'91 run with Drexler, Porter, Kersey, Duckworth, etc. I suppose I got too close to the fire, but my fandom was death by a 1000 cuts. Should young players be discouraged? Maybe. All of this playing things up to the big markets, and the leagues constant need to have the next "superstar" has pretty much ruined the sport at that level. I do think the league would be way better off if they would stop trying to "socially engineer" the league just to placate the larger TV markets. The NBA can save itself, easily. Just has to get out of it's own way, and focus on the sport more and on TV ratings less.

I mean Steph put up 49. TV coverage should probably focus on Steph versus I dunno... Danny Green or Kent Bazemore or GPII? It's probably unwatchable if you already hated the NBA to begin with I suppose.

I basically don’t watch the NBA anymore.....after Clyde and Terry left, the next group (jail blazers) pretty much ruined my appetite for following the Blazers. They really haven’t done anything since....college hoops is decent (hey they play defense in college ball).

They really haven’t done anything since....college hoops is decent (hey they play defense in college ball). Unfortunately it looks like it's time for a change. They've been pretty solid under Stotts (7 straight playoff appearances, Western Conf Finals in 2019) - but they've taken a step back this year for sure and look to be stuck in middle-of-the-road purgatory. Not bad enough to land a lottery pick/game changer, not good enough to make a deep run in the playoffs. Too bad as they do have a lot of just generally likeable, good human beings on this roster now. Now if we want to talk about the Blazers not playing defense, I'm definitely not arguing there - it's horrendous! My bigger issue with the NBA is the whole super-team situation they've got going on. At least it looks like it's backfiring for the Nets at the moment.

Almost a phenomenal year. 1998 was the Jazz sweeping the Lakers, Kobe Bryant's second year. Bryant did not even become a regular starter until the next year. The NBA has its high points. And its low points. 2003 was almost a great year. Then, the team fell of a cliff for about a decade. Fortunately, my second team, the Suns, picked up just as the Blazers imploded, which kept the NBA fun. Really, only the 2011-2013 period was the only time that I could not bring myself to watch the NBA.

I keep trying with the NBA, but never had any other teams rooting interest beyond the Blazers. Before GS-Philly the other night I can't remember the last time I watched an NBA game that didn't include the Blazers. Partly because, other than AC Green and Brent Barry (both who played at OSU before my time), there were never any Beavs in the league to follow. Regardless of how much I hate the way the league is run it would be great if Eubanks and GP2 stick. What else am I going to watch when there's nothing else on? Would at least be cool to see some Beavs out there.

Well Eubanks has that nice little contract that is going to become a nice big contract if he continues to produce like he's starting to, so I'd say he's stuck.

The coverage of Steph vs Seth was so overt that it threw a wet blanket over the entire game. It was the Curry show, and you could tell it effected the game. That's what I was eluding to. You would have to watch the game to get the full effect.
