Yes way, NJCAA (Juco) delayed their season and championships and for the first time that I can remember they go after D1 and the rest of the divisions. Happens this Wed-Thursday in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
Track on FLO Arena (free), or FLO Wrestling (paid)
NJCAA page
Clackamas will try to repeat as champions after a thin season (schedule wise). They sent us Shaner last year & Cameron Enriquez in this Fall's class. Others before that. Might be a few more future Beavs there?
Go Cougs!

Enriquez seeded #2 at 125. I believe a couple of other in-state kids are seeded #1 for Clack - Zeth Brower (Crater HS) at 133 and Dax Bennett (Harrisburg) at 174. I think they have a top 4 seed at every weight class - should be the heavy favorites for the team title.
At least they got a little bit of wrestling in. SOU never had a regular season, there was a league-wide coaches vote to send kids to NAIA nationals.

Enriquez opens up with an 18-1 tech.
The other guy I've been following for CCC and think he could be a D1 kid is Marckis Branford at 141. Came to CCC from Easton, PA, took 5th last year as a freshman I believe. Has been pretty dominant so far this year.

In a high scoring match, Cam Enriquez wins 12-8 in his second match, moves to the 1/4 finals.

Wow, wrestlebacks are completed, 10 more championship matches to go...Clackamas trails Western Wyoming by 1/2 a point.
CCC has 2 finalists: Enriquez-125 and Brower-133 WW has 1 finalist @ 174
Of the three, Brower has the highest seed and favored. A lot of drama going into the finals.. Win at 125/133 and seal it. Win just 1 match and hope for some help at 174 and win. I think the finals gives 4 placement points. Then the chance for bonus.

Ok, Enriquez was humbled in his final 18-1, takes 2nd. Brower wins by fall, so CCC leads 152.5 to 147 over Western Wyoming. It comes down to the 174 match and the WW wrestler. I think he needs to win by fall to pass the Cougs.

I think he needs to win by fall to pass the Cougs. Yeah that's impressive. The other guy won back to back titles at 125... heading to Lock Haven next year. Good for Brower.. Watched him a lot in HS. 2x state champ, 1x 2nd place (lost to Legend Lamer as a freshman I think) and 1x 3rd place (Lost to Kuenzi). Interested to see where he ends up. CCC ended up with the 3-peat. We might be saying "High School wrestling in May? No Way!" If the OSAA site is to be believed... practices start May 10. A few teams have posted dual meet schedules though I imagine some hurdles still remain...
