Because this team has finally gelled. Outstanding pitching and defense this weekend, and last weekend was pretty special too. BTB complete games. When was the last time that happened? A first ever shutout sweep of a Pac-12 opponent. Wow.
Remember Fresno State in 2008? It's all about hitting your peak at the right time. PC & Co. have them ready. This is going to be fun to watch. Bring it on, bring it on.
GO BEAVS!!!

As opposed to the pitchforks who are down 27-5 to USC.

Wow... roller coaster fans much... it's the same team will have same issues vs. top tier teams... we swept the 10th place team that is a shell of it's former self. We played out of our minds. But, no gelling occurs in a week and half.
We did what we had to and took a huge step forward by winning 5 of 6... getting in the dance. But, let's not jump the shark... either direction. This team is flawed... and we still made it.

I still don't think this team is going anywhere, but they may be gelling at the right time. As opposed to the 2014 team, which was in a bad slump come playoff time. That year still pisses me off. They just couldn't score from the middle of May through the end of the season. From May 16th to June 1st, they scored more than 2 runs only 3 times. No beuno.

Not gelling: KJ Harrison.

I have been saying it all season, this is a team you do not want to see in your regional. They are young and talented, when they get good pitching they can be scary good. When they don't get a quality start they can lose to anyone.
They played good with their backs against the wall these past 2 weeks. Let's see if that can carry over to next weekend.

This team is flawed... and we still made it. Why can't gelling occur in a week and a half? How about it occurring in three days? Remember the Virginia Regional in 2007? They played like crap the last three or four series, then caught fire back in Charlottesville. So much of baseball is mental. The pitching was finally solid, all three games. Bullpen is rested and ready to go. There are nine guys on the field, so what if KJ or Ice needs a break? They can't score if they can't move runners over or get them on base with a free pass. You sure know how to downplay a literally historic weekend. Go ahead and be a Scrooge. We will see what next weekend brings. I'm not making my Omaha flight reservations just yet, but I'm keeping my calendar clear.

I'm sure you will trot out the "I'm entitled to my opinion and should be validated as much as anyone else". Unfortunately, intential or not, your opinions continue to be inflamatory in nature.

But you've not said one. good. thing. about this team all season. Either you'll be right and very pleased with yourself; or wrong, and settling down for a nice plate of crow. Will you show up for the latter as quickly as you will for the former? Just wondering ...

Just get in boys. Then anything can happen. Making it to Omaha would be a HUGE achievement - and unlikely.

Next year MAYBE, but not unless there is some major improvement in baseball fundamentals and consistency. Good luck Beavs......

Don't see much of an opinion in there??? Pretty much factual except how long or if "gelling" occurs in 2 series wins. But, of course to those who are purely into argument for the sake of argument we'll let you focus on spelling then go with the definition of opinion and "inflammatory". LOL

Will you show up for the latter as quickly as you will for the former? Just wondering ... Uh, nope, didn't make it! Next year MAYBE, but not unless there is some major improvement in baseball fundamentals and consistency. Good luck Beavs...... Well... I do not know your purpose on here, but I for one do not show up to be right or wrong. My self esteem and ego are not determined by the likes of anonymous posts on some forum. I simply speak my mind and refute those things I see as blatant fallacies. Or offer my perspective. Like it, hate it, agree, or disagree... I DON"T CARE! LOL As for not having said "one.good.thing." about this team, well I do not have to PROVE one thing to you, but I'll bet I have several times and in many different ways. Now, maybe not how you'd like to hear them, but there are several positives about this team. But, to "orange goggled" fan they seldom want the truth. Those fans want "reasons" and tend to provide excuses or dismiss other teams/conferences in terms of our league or team getting the short end. As a fan rooting at game or watching on TV you're completely subjective/blatant homer fan... I yell, scream curse as much or more than most for my team to be successful. After the game I even pull a little of the "goggled" fan routine. The difference is... I also can look at OSU teams objectively. I am not afraid to call out apparent weaknesses in a team or coaching staff. Again not to be right. But, because I do know a little about the sports/coaching/player treatment/development I comment on the most. I could care less what you or others think of my posts... like being correct, I do not do it for your approval either. I do not care what other's post. If it strikes my fancy to comment, I will. Sometimes it's not worth the key strokes/tie it takes when dealing with some posters... and quite frankly some are blocked so I do not even see their posts unless commented upon by other posters. In short... I'm not sure what you were hoping for in posting... seemed a little circular in protecting yourself no matter how I responded. But, basically you seem to be incorrect in most of what you said! So I'll save the 'fowl' dish for you to either serve or eat yourself.
