OSU-Cascades president Becky Johnson is the new interim president at OSU. It's a good choice. And she is a huge women's basketball fan, I think she played at Indiana. She started in the College of Forestry and was a high-ranking administrator at OSU before heading across the Cascades.
OSU could do far worse (and did) than her as the permanent president, IMHO.

Sounds like she’s done a great job at the Bend Cascades campus. Hope they can find a good replacement.

On second thought, I would hate to lose her from OSU-Cascades on a permanent basis. That would be a big ouch for Bend.

Coming at this from a zero knowledge perspective . . . but she looks at an age that would be considering retirement. But she's capable and won't be pursuing the job on a permanent basis. She gets rewarded for an excellent career. Cascades would be looking for a new president in a year or so regardless. Everyone wins.
