Funny how many were “so sure” she was going to return for a 5th year. I tried to warn that she may make a decision that’s not in favor of the program... looks like we’ve got our answer.
Best of luck to Aleah in her future endeavors. She was one of my favorites to watch throughout her career. Special player and person!

Maybe the NCAA will look at how they treated Tudor (denying her an extra year because she played in 12 games) and reconsider. Makes no sense how all these players can have a full year back after playing 19+ games. In the words of Oprah.....”you get year” and “ you get year” and “you get a year”. But sorry Kat, not you! Totally respect Goodman’s decision. She had a wonderful 4 year career. I wonder what Kat is up to these days? Still playing?

Were there really "many" who were "so sure". Maybe you're right but I don't recall them. You can't blame OSU fans for indulging in a little hopeful/wishful thinking.

I felt like the majority expected her to come back. Maybe I’m wrong but I got pushback for questioning whether she was going to come back or not.

I'm honestly quite surprised, but I have no idea what her future plans, although I understood she hoped to get into coaching someday. Is she thinking of trying to play pro? Anyway, she just seems the type that will try to play for as long as she can...

To be honest, this is probably what is best for the players on the team. Talia will be ready to be the PG after 10+ games with Aleah, and now she can take it over without crowding by Aleah. And for Aleah to move over to the SG would crowd Greta. Staying would be good for the team (maybe) but probably not best for the players. I wonder if Destiny figured that as part of her decision to leave? If so then it worked out well for both of them as they each got their chance to shine.
But for now let's hope that Mack needs another year to finish her Masters!

It's still really iffy but, this is a glimmer of hope for Aleah:
"Connecticut Sun
This roster is so top heavy that they're forced to keep several cheap contracts on the end of the bench, which makes it one of the best places to be if you're a relative unknown trying to catch on in the WNBA. Three late draft picks and a host of training camp invites are fighting for anything from two to four spots"
