I will walk the plank and predict that we win by 3 ! Reasoning , they (SC), by the overall numbers, seem to do a lot of work inside the paint , scoring and rebounding ! They do not seem great with shooting the three ball or their free throws ! Our strengths may be half court defense and very good on 3's as well as free throws with our girls that get to the line frequently. We need to get the ball to Taylor to create opportunities in the paint ( 2+ 1) and to generate foul trouble on their best BIG ( I believe she is 6'5" ). At the same time , hit a minimum of 50% of our threes ( tall order, but possible ), and we should be able to create some point spread throughout the game and close it out ! Go Beavers ! We are all behind you 1000%

If we stay out of foul trouble and shoot just normal to above normal we win.

Give the beavers about a 55% chance of winning. I don't think anyone except the pac 12 realizes the beavers are the true favorites. It will probably be a close game, though.

Just wanted to back up the stat comparisons Three pointers - SC = .331 , BEAVS = .408 Henderson @422 , Goodman @ .500 Free Throws -SC = .673, BEAVS @ .725

SC on average makes 4 threes a game where we make on average 8. Henderson only attempts 3 a game on average where Aleah 5. So I feel this is not as close as the average tells IMHO.

If the Beav's don't have a bad shooting game (possible for anyone) I think the Beav's get this one.

Beavs lose by double digits. Good learning experience. Aleah sees how close this team is to winning big and decides to return for next season's run at the final four.

It may not mean much, but...
Arkansas was bad and got upset yesterday. Texas A&M needed A LOT of help from the zebras to avoid a huge upset yesterday. Kentucky is getting DESTROYED by Iowa right now. It is appearing, yet again, that the SEC schools are generally overrated.

Aleah’s play over the last month has been a revelation. She’s playing the best ball of her life and brimming with confidence. SC will certainly bring pressure - that’s the well known recipe for gumming up Rueck’s offense and Stanford did it very effectively. Now, that said, it helps if you have Stanford - caliber players to implement that “recipe”.
I just hope we play our best. If we do, I’ll be content with the result, win or lose.

I worry about our bigs getting into foul trouble, but II noticed something different this last game. Before, our bigs would get a lot of moving screen calls for a lot of their foul trouble. Against FSU, it seemed the bigs just turned before getting to Aleah and just start moving slowly back toward the basket and Aleah zipped behind them. It’s still a moving screen, but now moving away from the defender so it doesn’t get called. Am I imagining this, or is this more genius from SR?

Another SEC team stinking up the floor, Tennessee has managed 19 points at halftime against Michigan.
Kentucky put some window dressing on at the end, lost to Iowa 86-72 and wasn't really anywhere near that close.
South Carolina might actually be a really good team, but their conference brethren are not showing much.

I just think in the tourney that the refs let more go (now having said that, OSU vs. Ok State pounded the hell out of each other but both teams seemed to take it in stride - and one team shot 92% at the stripe), so it's going to come down to depth, and OSU just has a very deep bench. Beavs by 8.
