Thirty-Nine (39) Freaking Years.
I'm all in with Wayne Tinkle. No coach has prepared OSU to win an NCAA game since I've been watching (1986-87 season).
Phenomenal win!

39 years - I feel like we have a lot greater chance against Oklahoma (or Liberty) than we did going into the arena against Georgetown and Ewing.

I remember watching some those games in 82 (I was in 7th grade I think...) Thankfully TVs have improved to deal with my eyesight not being quite so sharp!

I think this is bigger than the football losing streak considering the very good Miller teams in the 80's that had the first round hex over them. The last two were total heart breakers with GP. I can remember listening to the game in 1990 with Ball State in my car over lunch at work and had to go back in at the very end. We were ahead but lost in the last seconds. Didn't find out until I got home after work . It all started by losing to a freshman Patrick Ewing in the elite 8 in 82........ 1984 6 ME Round of 48 (11) West Virginia L 62–64 1985 10 S Round of 64 (7) Notre Dame L 70–79 1988 12 S Round of 64 (5) Louisville L 61–70 1989 6 W Round of 64 (11) Evansville L 90–94 OT 1990 5 W Round of 64 (12) Ball State L 53–54

We lost to a team that didn’t take off their shooting shirts. It was the equivalent to losing to the White Sox the year they wore shorts.

Didn't know that about that Evansville game, had to listen to it on the radio at work. Win heals a very old wound for this old Beaver.

I’ll take Ball State as the worst. Real bad call on GPs 5th foul and a complete phantom foul with no time left to give them a free throw for the three point play and the one point win. .
