Presidential statement following no-confidence vote by OSU Faculty Senate
March 18, 2021
Members of the Oregon State University Community,
I take very seriously the voice of the OSU Faculty Senate, the votes taken today by the Senate, and the statements shared with the Senate today by faculty members and others. I greatly respect OSU’s shared governance model, and I pledge to continue working with the full Faculty Senate and the Faculty Senate Executive Committee to advance the academic mission of this great institution.
F. King Alexander President

I did try to tell ya’ll that this F. King dude was a bit of a establishment, I’m to good for everyone type person. No one outside the program knew about this Les Miles stuff or the players either but I’m not surprised that F. King is pushing the blame off. F. King Alexander is a POS. Duly noted.

Not only did the Faculty Senate overwhelmingly vote no confidence in FKA, they also voted no confidence in the Board of Trustees! Wow! Keep the pressure on, Faculty!

The members of the BOT are some of the most successful people in Oregon, and some of our most successful graduates. They did not earn their BOT positions by falling off a turnip truck. And you want to fire the lot of them?

And you want to fire the lot of them? I disagree that the no confidence vote against the BOT should be seen as a call to “fire the lot of them.” Instead, I think its purpose is to show that the faculty are not happy with the measures taken by the board toward Alexander.

BOT meeting again on Tuesday. Perhaps the votes of no confidence and calls to terminate FKA have changed their minds.

I also think it’s slimy that he would speak I’ll of LSU culture and life in the hopes of gaining favor here in Oregon. Like this is a guy you can trust? Yuck

F. King is the guy in the ivory tower that thinks he is above everything. He can do no wrong and if he does he will find a way to push the blame on something or someone else.

F. King is the guy who is going to learn that his sh!t does, in fact, stink. (And that it doesn't magically go away by ignoring it...)
