Smooth jumper from free throw line...Very impressive for a kid her size who still has another year of h.s. before she heads out to university....
Except for Gulich, OSU has never had player of her size who could consistently nail a 16 foot jump shot....At least none who I can remember....

Thanks for posting greybeav! I'm most curious about this quote: Recruiting, from the coaches’ perspective, is all about building good relationships with kids. OSU’s coaches knew Gardiner well enough to kind of leave her alone, in a sense. “With my (knee) injury they’ve always been super supportive and the way they recruited me, it’s not really necessarily hands-on, they gave me my space, which I really appreciate,” Gardiner said. Recruiting is such a battle the coaches often do whatever they can to out maneuver the competition. 'Giving space' seems like a foreign concept. I'm glad it worked to the Beavs advantage. |
