Not making contract with runner on will make a coach invent new words. If we were in a must win position with runners on who would you want at the plate? What has happened to Mitch Verberg? With the pressure on, Preston Jones delivered nicely yesterday. But if I had to choose, I’d look to Andy Armstrong who has the most hits on the team. And he has all that experience to rely on. If Ober can gain a little more consistency, he certainly has the ability to make the Beavs score more. Casey, too. But between them in 86 at bats (combined), they have combined for a total of 32 strikeouts. Armstrong, interestingly, has nearly the same number of at bats (41) but only 5 strikeouts.

Andy has been one of our better hitters.....so I can see having him bat first. Ober isn’t quite the batter we need for the two spot so shift Ober into Andy’s current slot makes more sense
