Interesting how this will play out in 2021. It won't be going away.

I don't read the Oregonian or Oregon Live but I guess you are referring to the Les Miles deal at LSU when King was president there.
I imagine he (King) has some splainin' to do. Wish we had this info before the hire.

I wonder how many college professors around the nation do the same thing and worse but never get found out because they're not high-profile sports coaches. I'm guessing a lot.

Interesting how this will play out in 2021. It won't be going away. Canzoni called for Dana Altman’s head on a pike. He’s still at uo. The Oregonian’s influence on Oregon decision-makers and decision- making in 2021 is negligible - at best.

Looks like another Heimlich maneuver.

I hope she’s actually helped someone other than Canzoni’s career. Seems like the only time she ever appears is when she’s trotted out in his column to call for someone’s head.

There's definitely some questions for Mr. Alexander to answer regarding Les Miles. That being said, working with some HR issues in my own life I know that it's not always as black & white as you wish it would be. That may be a convenient excuse but it also can be that there are real consequences to not checking absolutely all the boxes and the potential for it to be expensive even if they are.
I've said it before though, I feel like Canzano exploits Ms. Tracy to chase journalism awards. She seems to be a willing participant but I very much question why he trots her out as the face of every open question regarding impropriety.

Canzano now saying Alexander in trouble at OSU, and will be fired, after Board of Regents plots it's next move. Says Faculty issuing a lack of confidence edict. Stay tuned.

Pissing off Canzoni is a mark of honor in my book. Since when is that troll the moral judge of anything? Remember when he slandered those PSU basketball players (Jeremiah Dominguez, Scott Morrison) in Cabo on spring break before the local cops set them free with an apology? Never published a retraction or apology. FTG.

When we learned the name of the next president of OSU in December 2019, the first thing we did was google him. We immediately found a scandal - the "Lazy River." The second thing we found were scandals about Miles and Title IX complaints about the handling of Miles by the LSU president. (You know his name.)
Which suggests to me that the Trustees don't know about google. This is not a good thing...since they'll be picking the next president soon. Let's hope the next hiring process is an open one - you know, how we arrived at Ed Ray. (That hire worked out pretty good, in retrospect.)

make a good choice here. one is a public, the other side is victim and a guy who buys ink by the barrel.
