It's not inexplicable. It's math. Home losses to net 100+ games kill you. And the net doesn't look at when a game happened, only that it happened. Oregon is locked at 10 because they didn't lose to anyone this year worse that 31 in the net. It also killed teams earlier in the year. Heck, even if we lose tonight, we will probably move up because Stanford is 1 in the net. I hate the 'ucks just as much as the next guy, but not everything is a big conspiracy by them. It's just math manipulation.

The hottest two teams should be meeting in the finals not semis. They know we can beat Arizona that's why we are playing furds in semis. They are picking the finishers not using logic for the sake of OSU RUN. OSU IS THE LITTLE GUY ON THE BLOCK AS FAR AS THESE COMMITTEES ARE CONCERNED. I HOPE WE CAN DO THIS THING AGAINST STANDORD. NOBODY PLAYING STANFORD HAS A FAIR CHANCE THEY HAVE BEEN ABLE TO PLAY ALMOST TWICE THE GAMES AS US. WE NEED MORE WARM UP GAMES.NOT SURE WE ARE READY TO TAKE THEM ON YET. TO BEAT STANFORD YOU HAVE TO STOP THERE GUARD AND WING PLAY. THATS A TOUGH ORDER. OSU NEEDS SOME KIND OF A BREAK TO WIN. Sounds like you’re getting an early start on your weekend.

Perhaps, Google "Caps Lock Key" and read what you find. Your posts are unreadable because you are clearly HAVING ISSUES WITH YOUR CAPS LOCK KEY!!! Also, just as a matter of fact, most people use the Caps Lock feature to figuratively "yell" at their audience. In other words, half of your posts read like YOU ARE YELLING AT US!!! Please look into this. Thanks. BTW, the Pac-12 tournament seeding is established before the season even begins, so no one is deciding who plays who in the Pac-12 tournament. I think most would agree that the 2 best teams in the tournament are meeting in the semi-finals, and that's not ideal. But, it is what it is. The seeding for the NCAA tournament... not THAT is a different story. Those seeds are entirely subjective, and decided by a committee. Actually the seeding is done after the conference games are over. The way they choose 5 plays 12, 6 plays 11 ect. is standard

While we are playing much better now, we'll have to convert all of our open looks and defend well against Stanford to have a chance. If we come out and play like we did yesterday, the game will likely be over by the first quarter. If we can play like we did throughout the second and third quarters, we'll have a chance. Stanford has an incredible perimeter defensive trio in Hull, Wilson, and Williams and an incredible shot blocker in Brink. Considering how fatigued we looked against Stanford by the end of the first matchup, its hard to think the wheels might not fall off by the end of the game. So, you're saying there's a chance???

In all fairness, our squad was coming off of a Covid break and it's easy to lose your game stamina, especially facing the Trees - we've had a month of steady play against a series of high level opponents since then. May not be enough to take them down, but if the shots drop and the d shows - it's going to be a much closer game. We do have some motivation to come out at them.

Since it's the math, they need to modify the math formula they are using....maybe a little less "reward" for "good" losses and a little less "punishment" for bad losses might be in order.

What, everybody should get a participation trophy? We had 3 bad losses early (Utah and Washington State twice), and we, deservedly, are being "punished" for those in conference and NCAA tourney seedings. Had we won those, we'd have a 14-3 record, be ranked in the top ten, be a 3 seed or better in the NCAA tourney, and not playing Stanford this afternoon. But we didn't; we lost all three, and so pay the price for it. That's as it should be. Let's not whine about it.

I just think the NET ranking system could use a little light tweaking concerning the weight given to good losses vs bad losses.

Way too many TOs, several live ball. Not shooting very well either. Feeling pretty good to be tied. Gotta pick up the level of play though, I don't think Stanford is going to keep playing like this.

No continuation? BS. How was that different than Hulls' and 1 earlier in the game?
