wtf didn't Mitch have Casey bunt? Advance the runner to scoring position with 1 out And why not pinch run for Ober? No one is really swinging a hot bat, so might as well put pressure on the pitcher by putting some speed on the bases. You don't take one of your better hitters out of a tie game in the 8th inning. |

Fixed it Hoping for better tomorrow. 1 run is not going to cut it when we get to PAC 12 play. I agree, and I think the strength of this team will be the pitching - both front-line and depth. If the Beavs have to win 1-0 or 2-1 on Friday, they have the staff that can do it with just a few key hits. If the Beavs can keep putting up enough runs to win while giving up 3 or 4 runs on Sundays, then you have the makings of a postseason run. |

And the pressure of having someone fast on the bases might cause the pitcher to make a mistake. |
