Well, if you listened to the announcers, Tehina's presence, support, and maturity from the bench was the driving factor in at least 47 of the Ducks 64 points.
God, you would think that was Michael Jordan in drag sitting there, not some freshman.

Almost exactly the same as the game in Eugene a couple days ago. Of course the Ducks missed Paopao, but the rest of their frosh fell off a cliff as the season progressed.

Yesterday during the Washington St.-Utah game they just would not stop hyping Charlisse Leger-Walker...as she was shooting 3-16 during the game.

Paopao was a big loss though, and a big reason I want to see Aleah back next season. There's no doubt now Talia would be fine as the PG, but an injury leaves us empty at point if Aleah doesn't return. The ducks had Chavez who has played a lot of minutes for the ducks, but she doesn't quite cut it. I keep looking at their box scores throughout the season, and I'm really curious to see who all returns for them next year.

They lack cohesion if you ask me. A bunch of good players that have always had success at lower levels but are not used to losing. The schmucks have no business on the top 25. Their best win was us, and the we avenged it twice. It's not all about paopao, they were falling apart before then. It wouldn't surprise me if they go home early in the ncaa tournament. I really like our freshman class next year, I think they will be really good. The Beavs have a bright future.

I thought Jaz Shelly was a really good player and someone who could handle the point as well. Certainly no one in Eugene seems to be getting any better the longer they are there. Not that I mind, however.

My Thoughts. We are performing well in the clutch. The New player has given our point a break and it has settled us down. What I saw in 3 rd quarter was execution and confidence. In quarter one I give them credit. They did what Cal did with better athletes. We woke up and slowly took control. Fun to see. I listened to both press conferences. Very glad we have Scott as our coach. Too me they may end their season soon. We will play well into tourney.
Do we have enough to Beat Stanford.? Time will tell. It is a tall order.

Shelley and Chavez have both been major disappointments this year. Instead of stepping up as 2 of only a few veterans with the team, they've all but disappeared. They both looked a lot better riding Ionescu's coattails than they do now.

How about Talia's very athletic save & conversion of Jelena's timely but not perfectly delivered pass in 4Q? Freshman to Freshman.

Also Talia realising they were overplaying late in teh fourth and had an open lane to the basket, calmly took it and put in the layup no trouble. How often have we seen a beaver (::cough:: Ethan ::Cough: blow and easy, albeit pressue packed, layup like that. Guts, guile, moxie and talent! Way to go beavs!

You might recall that the Ducks struggled in conference Sabrina and Ruthie's freshman year, but got hot in the tournament, and then got better each year. So don't write them off.
Right now, however, we're a better team than they are, and would beat them 7 out of 10. And next year we'll be a better team than them. We're only going to get better as well.

Yeah, but they got a head start on their NCAA Tourney run by winning 2 games in the Pac 12 tourney including taking out Plum and the Huskies. And that team didn't lose 5 of 6 down the stretch.
