Damn. Another one? The market is too saturated these days and we’re going to see a lot of good beers get lost in the shuffle. When Bud took over Widmer, it was a sad day. I thought Widmer was large enough and popular enough to have staying power. But then Bridgetown closed, and I lost hope for all the OG. Still, there’s a lot of quality beers out there and probably one more coming to try to fight for the market share.

Boneyard was a good story in that they acquired there original equipment from other breweries "boneyards". A friend of mine has a serious love affair with their RPM. Hopefully he will still be able to get a quality fix in the future.

There problem was they were a keg only brewery until they finally started canning well into the pandemic. The restaurant shut-downs killed them.

Big fan of Deschutes Brewery, probably my favorite Oregon brewery with Black Butte Porter being my favorite Oregon beer. Deschutes has put out some good IPA's, as well.

Those of you that like the porters and stouts CAN'T go wrong with Black Butte Porter and Obsidian Stout. Great darks! I was in Ft. Worth for a few days in 2008. Friday night I take an uber into the commercial central. There was some art festival going on and a lot of activity and people. I go into a bar/restaurant and they have at least 100 beers on tap. On the chalkboard, it says, tonight's special - Black Butte Porter. I knew I was at the right place.
