Camera work awful by PAC-12 network. The PAC 12 Network generally does a crappy job. Their announcers usually are just having a conversation, which occasionally touches on what's happening on the floor. At least half the time, they don't tell us who committed the foul, which they compound by never showing the ref signaling who it's on. And they show replays while the game is going on, or somebody's shooting free throws, at the other end of the court. It's a poorly run organization. Agree 100%

Opinion tIME.. Was impressed with Cal today. They are really hurting and Deparate for a win.I feel bad for them. Our team defensively wasn't playing against Cal but against the refereeing. They really took a lot of aggression out of our team. I think we as a team are a like bit tired after the last two weeks. We are lucky to get out of this game alive. We weren't passing the ball Around the court enough to get good shots today.cal is more athletic then the ducks. Everybody was cold today except TVO. YET SHE DIDNT GET IN AS MUCH IN SECOND HALF AS FIRST. NO OFFENSE FROM OUR SENIOR LEADERS WILL KILL US GOING FORWARD LOOKING FORWARD TO TOMMAROW. GO BEAVS.WHO EVER WINS TOMMAROW MIGHT WIN THE RIGHTS FOR Gardner girl. Here's to our future. CHEERS

I think the team will be playing much more inspired basketball tomorrow. I’m looking forward to seeing how it turns out. As for Gardiner, this next game probably won’t be a factor in her commitment as she is no longer considering Oregon.

Just watched the game on dvr. A couple things I noticed. For the most part our freshmen are amazing. And not just TvO, Sasha on defense gets better every game. She is like a longer version of Gabby. I like Savannah, she has the potential to be another lock down defender. TvO and her 20 points were huge today but only part of her game. She has a way of being in the right spot to make a play or grab a rebound, and it carries over to her defense. She rarely gets caught out of position.
Next year we will have, barring transfers, a freshman class of, Savannah, Sasha, TvO, Greta, and Jelena.
And Jones stayed out of foul trouble!!

Pac 12 tourney is often wacky. USC jumped all over ASU early, Devils almost came back but couldn't quite pull it off. Washington St.-Utah was a battle to see who stunk a little less. Cougs won, but probably would've lost to any of the other teams that played today. And in the night cap...the Huskies are about to end Colorado's season.

Why should it be any different than this season. This last year has been pretty wacky.

After thinking about it I think the Beav's strategy was to not look great today and win ugly so as to lull the Ucks into thinking....Hey these guys aren't that good and we've got Pow-wow back tomorrow so should be no problem to beat them. And then the Beav's will hit them with their A game tomorrow--take the game down to the wire--and TVO will hit a 3pt bomb with 1 second left to bring us from 2 down to win by 1 .....Dis-claimer--I really don't know if Pow-wow will play, but I'm assuming she will since there has been no official word that I've seen on the extent of her injury or that she won't play.

OSU was lacking intensity which contributed to a diminished rebounding effort. There was less blocking out this game compared to the last several with allowed too many second chance shots for Cal. Maybe part of the problem was the Beavs were looking alittle past this game toward Oregon on Thursday. As others have stated, without TvO, Beavs don't win today. Hopefully OSU's 3 point shooting returns to form against the uckies. Uckies will want revenge for Sunday's loss, so the Beavs better step it up even further. I don't know why Mack and Corosdale barely showed up today. They better reappear after today's dissappearing act.

I always contrast basketball announcers to Chick Hearn, who did Lakers games for 30 or 40 years. He did the broadcast for both the tv and radio feeds simultaneously, so he had to assume that you were following on radio. At the beginning of each game, he'd say, "The Lakers are going left to right (or right to left as the case might be) across your radio dial," and you could immediately visualize the floor and which basket each team was defending. When a foul was committed, you immediately knew who was called for it, how many on him, how many team fouls, the free throw shooter's percentage for the season, and how he'd done thus far in the game from the line. It was wonderful.

Since there's no one to converse with, there's no getting sidetracked. They simply tell you what's happening in the game. The way it's supposed to be.
I think Elise Woodward is probably the best among all the Pac 12 Network's people, but they had her as part of a panel in the studio today rather than calling the games.

If they're not, it's much more difficult to see what is happening, so they digress into other topics to fill the void. I'm not sure if they have the "normal" numbers of technical support staff there as well.

She talks and holds herself like a senior 4 year starter on one of the best college programs in the nation, not like a "shoot I hope we play better against XYZ high next Friday night" mid-year senior in high school. This is one cool customer right here - Chuck Norris won't challenge her to a game of horse, and Bill Brasky retired the moment she stepped out onto the Gill Coliseum court.
