FWIW... UO dropped to #19 in the AP Poll and we got 9 votes for top 25 PAC-12 gets little respect other than the BIG NAME schools (Stanford & UCLA). But that is OK, once the NCAA Tournament starts, I root hard for the PAC-12, which always overachieves even with fewer NCAA qualifying teams. OSU will remain underdogs which is always fun when our team spanks another team not from the PAC-12.

Massey SOS rankings are certainly interesting for the PAC-12:
1 Utah 2 WSU 3 UW 4 OSU 5 USC 7 Cal 8 uo 10 UA 12 Stanford 13 UCLA 24 ASU 27 CU
10 of the top 13. Nobody lower than 27.

It was common knowledge that because of its strength, the Pac 12 was going to be a blood bath this season. The lack of out of conference games sort of made those voting in the polls for get that fact. They went more on how teams did against their own conferences. South Carolina was considered by many to be the top team in country this season. Well, because Boston is not playing at last seasons level they are not close to the team they were projected to be. But some of those voting in the rating services, rather than acknowledging that fact, elivated their entire conference because teams were beating them. Conveluted reasoning. We will not really have a true gage of league ( and therefore individual teams in those leagues) until they meet in the NCAA's.
The selection committee seems to be less influenced by polls this season. This was evidence by them not rating Baylor as highly as the pollsters had them. The committe took into account how weak the Big 12 is this season, so their recordand their recent margins of victory, should not count for much.

They keep taking turns beating each other, so they all must be awesome. A few of them finally started dropping a bit in the polls, but then jumped right back up in this latest poll. They have 6 ranked 17 or higher, and have 4 stuffed between 17 and 13. They are in the 6 or 7 loss range. They also have had 6 in the top 16 of both of the bracket reveals shown so far.

Utah WILL play in the tournament - so our game with Cal is on. I think that's good news for us. Presumably, it gives us one more win when the committee is looking at things.
