Ugly win, but we’ll take it When was the last time we won a game with zero 3 pointers? On the broadcast they said it was about 3 years. Don't remember if they gave a specific date.

Thinking back on the game ... it seems like the game plan may have been built around working in the paint and to feed SILVA and to help with rebounding. Just proves you need to hit some threes too - or it's going to be a close one !

There are no ugly wins imo with osu MBB. They all count the same...A W on the left column. We don't get bonus points for margin of victory. Weeeeellllll.... Not to nitpick, but the NET rankings do factor in margin of victory/loss up to 10 points

Things I learned from last nights game: You can stand like a statue and still get a blocking foul, and you can dive in front of someone driving to the hoop and draw a charge. And Pac 12 refs still suck. I was amazed they didn't blow a whistle on the last sequence of plays.

I was listening to the game on the radio, and I was having a hard time hearing the action through all of Mike Parker's disdain for Matt Bradley. I believe he said something like "he's taking his jersey off in frustration! Yeah, you've got a great body, but you still lost!" I was kind of surprised at the level of taunting he seemed to be doing. Sounds like Bradley was doing a pretty good job of frustrating everyone from OSU last night.
Parker also spent a whole possession railing against Cal's players receiving the ball with one hand, even as Cal took the ball in for a layup he's talking about the carelessness of them with the ball.
I'm not sure I like "grumpy old man" announcing.

Mike has had a pet peeve he has talked about forever about fundamentals and catching passes with one hand. I think it's a criticism of all basketball players...osu,opponents,etc.

I assume he takes issue with outfielders pulling a Rickey Henderson too. I wonder if the carries over to other areas of his life. People one handing a bag of groceries drive him nuts? Only one hand on the steering wheel cause for an angry horn honk?

It goes back to his days playing basketball in high school at Cottage Grove h.s. where his high school coach drilled fundamentals.

There are refs that do Pac 12 games but they have no conference affiliation. They can do WAC one night, WCC the next night, Big Sky next, and then a P12 game the night after that. Regardless, they still suck.

In rough figures a Pac-12 or other power 5 conference game is $4k. Mountain West and WCC is 3k. Big Sky and WAC are 2k. UHawaii may offer a premium. An LA based ref that does 3 nights in a row at, for example, UCLA, UCIrvine, and then SDSU can make some serious coin. If you are in the level D or E group and buying plane tickets to Bozeman one night and then the next in Las Cruces, you want your reviews good so you move up a level.

What's the average age is my question. Can they even keep up with the game any more to be in a good position to call a foul? I know experience is a good thing.... but they look like they toss their walkers off to the side before calling a game. It's time to force retirement on some of these guys. What are we gonna get? is there worse out there?
