Bruce Arians is a heck of a coach. He out-coached Andy Reid. He clearly out-coached Matt LaFleur. (LaFleur is an idiot. That field goal call has to be the dumbest call in years.)
Having said that, this game was a hatchet job.
Honey Badger had an interception at the Chief 30 wiped out by a phantom defensive holding call. The result? Touchdown Tampa, 14-6.
The Chiefs could have walked into the locker room down 14-6 and instead used their timeouts to give the Bucs just enough time to go up 21-6. There were two terrible calls that helped make that happen, but those calls never happen, if Reid doesn't take the terrible timeout in the first place.
The first Remmers hold was garbage. It turned a 2nd and 3 into a 1st and 20 and killed the drive. It was probably too little too late anyway, but it would have been a much more interesting game, if the Chiefs had been given a shot to pull within two scores.
It is crazy that playing safeties deep is all that it took to destroy the Chiefs' offense. The Bucs looked like they were daring the Chiefs to run, but the Chiefs only called 12 running plays.
And are the Chiefs' receivers really that bad? The Bucs usually doubled Hill. Nobody else stepped up. I remember two just awful drops, which killed off another two drives.

Two other thoughts. Kelce looked good late, but he looked like garbage early. Lavonte David had himself a game and completely shut down Kelce early.
The Bucs were supposed to have a better line, and it showed. They completely neutralized Chris Jones. The Chiefs were not able to do the same to a front seven that was weaker on paper.
Also, a not-quite-100% Mahomes is not a great quarterback.

The Bucs dared the Chiefs to run, and the Chiefs never did. The play-calling left Mahomes and the OL out to dry.

Every play they went after Mahomes and KC never adjusted. More screens. More run plays. More misdirection. After seeing Tampa’s fans out in the street celebrating sans mask, perhaps Kansas City wanted to lose.

Another great game for the GOAT. Twitter sure doesn't like the man lol. Brady continues a great career. Easy to call him GOAT, but let's not forget guys like Jim Brown, that had stellar careers and also had to deal with significant racism. Today's game is also much more 'safe', especially for the QB. IMHO there is not such thing as the 'Greatest of all Time'. 'Greatest of their Generation' is a much more realistic term. The game changes, an memories fade. Brady isn't bad for a 6th round pick however Completely agree. I recently watched the 1981 NFC championship game (49ers and Dallas) and I was really surprised by how much the game had changed. QBs were regularly picking themselves up off the ground. Sure, Brady is amazing and a freak to be playing at his age. But you just can’t compare him to the greats of yore. They didn’t have the advantages Brady has. And why do we need to crown someone Greatest of All Time anyway?
