Some HS film (#0)
Looks like a kid growing into his body (film from summer after sophomore year, so very understandable). Looks physically overmatched in the latter view playing against some very good, more physically developed athletes. Smooth handles but will get carrying calls with his style. Film available doesn't give much read on his court vision.
WT likes his southpaws.

Cruz has a pretty decent outside shot. He could be a player in time.

For sure - he throws down easily at one point, and I was really impressed. I would be super stoked if this was a video of a DE recruit of ours! |

Looks pretty good to me and like his height. From a rankings perspective he’s the highest ranked H.S. recruit since Ethan and Hollins in the 2017 class. Nice to see WT getting an early start to building 2022 class. And with this signing the Beavers have the top ranked class in Pac 12 and 14th nationally. Not often one can say that.

Not to be negative, but it is a commitment, not a signing. There is a ways to go, yet, before it becomes official.

Houston is the #5 team in the country right now for reference (although they did lose tonight), SMU has been to the tournament twice in the last six years and TCU was a tourney team in 2018. Appears to be a good get from tape as well. |

Yep - he is gone . Oh well , lots of time and plenty of great opportunities to find a better option ! Certainly time to find a replacement, but I thought Davis was a good get. Really liked having a talented PG in the fold as I think that is a position of need going forward. Hopefully WT can take advantage of the Beavs’ tourney run to increase level of talent coming in. |
