The long arm of Beaver recruiting reaches out to New Jersey for this 2022 commit

Oregon State has a verbal pledge from Ryan Boyd, a 3B prospect from Northern Burlington H.S. in Columbus, N.J. Boyd is 6-1 and 179 pounds and is 16 1/2 years old. He plays for his high school team and travels in the summer with Team Adrenaline or ASA. He's well known on the New Jersey/Eastern Regional tournament and Showcase circuit having made 7 all tournament teams to date and has 2 Tourney MVP awards to his credit.
On the national circuit and in national rankings, he's flying under the radar since his summer team has not participated much nationally. He also pitches and that might be the Beaver interest. His pitching metrics from last year are relatively quiet. FB: 80, CB: 64/65, CH: 68/69.
On the field, he runs a 60 in 7.5, registers IF Velo of 76/80, and OF Velo of 83/85.
At bat, he has a smooth stroke with good lift and hits the ball to all fields. Good contact hitter with good zone discipline. Has soft hands and good feet at 3B. On film, he plays smoothly and leaves you with the feeling there is more in the tank that he is using.
