Length has little to do with it. Put your body on the MF and hold your position. Giving up 20 ORs is disgusting.

Agree on the length - Alatishe wasn’t getting the clean hops today and when Silva was in, he really wasn’t reading the ball well, nor reacting to the careens off the rim or backboard. The kid from Dallas, doesn’t seem like he wants to go after rebounds ! I still don’t see hunt adding any value when he is in the game - but ! Like to see Thompson and Lucas playing together, they seem to work well together ! I think the announcer said Lucas was hitting 41% of his three balls - but, when he is out - three attempts really drop off , and that cost us dearly in this game . Fun game to watch though , against a quality club !

Down 9 with 8 minutes left. Even if we don't pull off a win here, we are much improved from that awful three game WSU-WYO-UP strech. Would love to see OSU play that 3 game stretch now

Would love to see OSU play that 3 game stretch now Wins in all 3 and this team is probably in the NCAA tournament (or at the very least NIT) discussion. Woulda coulda shoulda. 2 quadrant 4 losses hurt evne with 2 quadrant 1 wins. Still plenty of ball left to play though.

So how much does how a team plays late in the season count for these days? Not all that long ago it did make a difference on getting into the tourney. Are early season losses season killers these days?

Are early season losses season killers these days? I think it matters.. I believe the committee looks at like the last 15 or so games.. they can see if a team is playing better.. they also factor in..did you or other team have players hurt or out?.. road vs home wins..etcc

Not making excuses, but a good chunk of the ones in the first half were due to bricks being shot from 3 by USC. Even when you box out, it’s hard to rebound shots that are caroming 6-10 feet off the rim. And length matters when you have 2 7 foot pogo sticks that can just jump over you even when you box them out. That being said, there’s a lot of room for improvement in our boxing out.
