I knew you were a fan, because your favorite celebrity’s dad was in Sharknado 2. Wrecking ball. Have no idea who or what you're talking about but I'll take your word for it. I have no idea what either of you are talking about and it gives me great satisfaction!

Some say Destiny Slocum was not a good fit either. Poor fit/lots of talent > Poor fit/marginal talent I have been watching quite a few of Arkansas's games this season. From what I have observed so far, Destiny is playing more like a point guard than she did here. If she played that way on this team she would fit in quite nicely. I believe her transition is similar to what happened to Layshia Clarendon at Cal. She had to be the biggest ball hog I have ever seen. In a game against TA&M there was one series where no one else except her touched the ball for five possession. Oh and they only scored once. In her Junior year she switched over to shooting guard and ironically became the teams top assist player. Playing without the ball turned her into a better team player, so much so that she plays point in the WNBA. Playing for Arkansas Destiny handles the ball far less than even a normal point. Her teammates like to create their own shots off the dribble so she handles the ball sparingly. Dungee is the big Dog and handles the ball the most. Destiny, when she has the ball is very efficient. She either shoots, drives or passes off. It appears having the ball less makes her more effective. I sort of suspected mentioned it this during last season, but the major problem with Destiny and Pivec was being on the floor together. Both their games were ball possession off the dribble reliant and teams need those type of players, but two on the floor at the same time and ball movement and offensive flow stops for everyone else. I suspect that having to play more without the ball has, like it did Clarendon, changed her perspective on the game. She now knows what it is like being in the open and waving your arms for ten seconds while the ball handler dribbles away clueless.

I suspect recruiting her was a desperation move. Somebody/anybody to handle the ball as a backup to Goodman. When she showed up she was less than advertised. It’s a shame she went to all that effort but this wasn’t a good fit. I agree completely, and we all wish her well I'm sure. Frees up a scholarship that could be used to snag some help in the transfer portal for next year. I don't know how much of an interest there would be for both sides, but Aquira Decosta who left Baylor a year ago has entered the transfer portal again. She did not play at all for Loyola Merimont. She got had a minor injury that set her back her freshman year with Baylor. Also she was transitioning from center/post to a guard/wing position. She has serious handles and is really athletic. Represented her U18 World team in the skills competition and had the second fastest time. It was a team that had Uconns Williams and SC Littleton as the guards on that team. If a team is looking for someone to create their own shot off the dribble. Was dealing with some personal issues. If she has it together she is a WNBA level talent.

Willtalk jacked a thread about Faustino and once again made it about Slocum. Let it die. Just because Willtalk repeats his analysis about Slocum and others persistently doesn't mean it is accurate. He stated that this year's version of the Beavers would be better than last year's and the Beavs would not miss the stars from last year's squad as much as many fans thought. Dungee isn't the point guard or primary ballhandler for Arkansas. That would be sophomore Makayla Daniels. Dungee simply shoots more frequently and looks for her shot whenever the ball is in her hands. I miss a winning OSU WBB program that went into its games with a strong chance to win each game like we had enjoyed since the '13-'14 season until this one.

In it's final season, Fonzie was water skiing and jumped the shark. It was too bizarre for the fans. Ratings tanked within weeks and Happy Days was cancelled.

I saw Aquira DeCosta at the End of the Oregon Trail tournament a few years ago playing with Aleah Goodman on the Cal Stars Flight team coached by Sabrina Ionescu’s high school coach Kelly Sopak. She is amazing. Wouldn’t know if Scott is interested or whether she fits his program.

I forgot to mention that DeCosta was the #3 player in ESPN’s class of 2018, and she was HS teammate of former Beaver Kat Tudor at St. Mary’s High in Sacramento. Kat played with Sabrina on the Cal Stars Flight team for coach Kelly Sopak, and they won the National AAU title that summer.

Ana has landed at Western Kentucky.
While they did not have a good season in 20-21, they had regularly been one of the best mid-majors regularly recording 20+ win seasons. Oregon State played them twice (once in 17-18 in the NCAA tournament and one in 18-19 in Vancouver). They had a coaching change in between those two seasons.
Hope she is able to carve out a niche there.
