Is there anyone else out there who is totally disinterested in the National Championship game ?
Why don't they just have the wealthy boosters for each team go out to midfield and stack up all the money they can beg, borrow, or steal.
Then count the total for each team and award the championship to the one that has the most money. Might as well put Phil Knight out there as well, I am sure he would be competitive.
I am still astounded that people are willing to spend so much of their time and money on the completely stacked deck that college football is.
I guess I should not be surprised given that people gamble away billions at Casinos, lotteries, etc.
What is the famous saying-"A Fool and his money are soon parted"

I'll probably watch but it's like choosing the least of two evils as to who I might actually root for.

I don't care about this game. The last six years, Alabama or Clemson has appeared. Dull. Ohio State has appeared four times in the CFP over the last seven years. Dull. Two dull old-money teams. If there was a way for them both to lose the game, I would root for that. I really was hoping that Notre Dame would beat Alabama, in order to make the Championship Game interesting.

Is there anyone else out there who is totally disinterested in the National Championship game ? "I am still astounded that people are willing to spend so much of their time..." And yet here you are... To answer the original question: yes, I am totally disinterested in the national championship. I won't watch or check the score. And yet here I am. I don't know why. It feels like habit. I feel generally disengaged from a lot of the things I used to love. Maybe it's my age, maybe it's my response to the Covid situation, maybe it's the fubar'd US politics. Sitting at home, thinking a lot about it lately and don't have an answer. F* Alabama, f* Ohio State, ftd and get off my lawn.

Is there anyone else out there who is totally disinterested in the National Championship game ? Yes, I'm interested as well as millions of other fans of programs not involved in the game. I was a college football fan before I became an OSU fan.

I’ll watch, could care less who wins, either that or the wife will choose HGTV.

Interested. Rooting for the Buckeyes.
I don't care if the moneyed teams are the ones that make it. That's just the way things work.

I’ll watch, could care less who wins, either that or the wife will choose HGTV. Pretty weak lineup on HGTV tonight. If there was a new Good Bones, Windy City Rehab or Home Town on, that would be worth changing the channel. Cheering for Ohio State, but only because someone other than the SEC or ACC needs to win this thing.

Looking forward to it. Lots of NFL talent on both sides and want to see the Smith kid from Bama... have only seen highlights so far.

I genuinely had no idea that there was a game today. Who cares...
The football season ended on December 19th.
