In the fall, Hambley was hitting 95 consistently at age 17. Gough touched 96 in the 2nd and 3rd innings in a WWBA game in Florida at age 17. Quinn threw a string of 97's in the final inning in a WWBA game in Florida at age 17.
OSU's future recruiting classes might lead you to believe seeing a Beaver hurler sitting in the mid-90's might be the norm rather than the exception.
2021 Kmatz sits in the low 90's. Dj Carpenter touched 97 mph numerous times in 2019. Hambley and Quinn are mentioned above. 2022 Gough is mentioned above. Isaac Hill has touched the low 90's. Four others in this class are close to the 90 mark. 2023 Talavs and Carraway reach 90, two others are close at age 15/16. 2024 McCowen has registered 92 and Edwards 90.
