A change of scenery appears to have been beneficial for former Beaver, Jake Harvey. Word from the Cal State Fullerton camp is that Jake is set to start for the Titans in the upcoming 2021 season. The CSF coaching staff had played him in CF during the first 5 scrimmages then moved him to 2B for the final 4 scrimmages. The Titans return third year Sophomore SS Zach Lew and found Harvey to be a good MIF partner for him. With 3 years left to play, Jake was a nice pickup fpr Andy Jenkins and the Fullerton coaches.
I like seeing all former Beaver players have success in a new program. Most are good ballplayers that for one reason or another wooudn't play much at Oregon State. Playing here is no easy task, OSU has "numbers" and sometimes guys get crunched in the numbers. When the Beaver coaches talk about coming to the yard everyday ready to compete, they aren't kidding.
