79 years ago, a day that lives in infamy I've always been intrigued at how that monumental date in world history intertwined with the much smaller world of Corvallis and OSU (OSC at the time) football. On Saturday, November 29, 1941 OSC defeated UO 12-7 in Eugene to clinch the outright PCC Championship and spot in the Rose Bowl. One week and one day later any and all plans were turned upside down by the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor and the US Declaration of War on the following day. World War II was on and nothing would ever be the same.
