Ty Doucette is a 6'2" 223 left handed hitting first baseman from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Doucette attends school at the Foothills Composite School in Alberta and plays baseball for the powerful Okotoks Dawgs 18u Black travel team. He is also a 3-time player for the Nova Scotia Provincial team that competes in the T-12 National championships in Toronto. Doucette bats left, throws right and projects 3-digit exit velo and deep ball power.
Doucette is the Son of Darren Doucette who played professionally in the St. Louis Cardinal organization from 1992 through 1999. Darren owns the Professional Baseball Academy in Nova Scotia and is the Head Coach of the N.S. Provincial 18u team. Micha McDowell also played on that Provincial team as well as for the Okotoks Dawgs. The Beavers currently have 4 alums from the Okotoks Baseball Academy, Gavin Logan, Cesar Valero, Richie Mascarenas, and McDowell with 2022 RHP Connor Pote committed.
There are conflicting reports on Doucette's class year. I've seen 2023 and 2022. His age would suggest he's a 2022 guy. We'll sort that soon.
