Has there been any word - official or otherwise - about Kennedy's status thus far? It's strange the conference coaches would have voted her a 1st team Pac-12 if it is unclear if she will play this year. I haven't seen her running drills in any of the video clips... Any word out there? Is there an expectation (rumour) that she might be ready for action by January, maybe !!

Everything I've heard seems to indicate she will play this season. Barring other injuries I don't think they will need to rush her recovery.

Well, if she plays that adds a lot to the various conversations that have been going on here on this board..... There has been virtually no mention of Kennedy as a factor in this year's line-up.... What a great bonus if she is at full speed in January.....She is an absolute difference maker as far as the competitiveness of this team is concerned.... GO BEAVS!!

I'd rather not see her jump back in too soon. We are a different team with her on the floor though. I'm not sure where her game will take her, but I see the makings of a top flight coach.

I don't think she'll play. More to the point, my orthopedic surgeon (who knows nothing about her individual case, but does know his way around an ACL) doesn't think she'll play.

In a normal season it would make no sense for her to come in say late February or early march and waste a season to play a few minutes a game. However, this season does not count at all so if she could come in for limited min. at the close of the season and it would not hurt her eligiblity at all. She wouldn't have to come in an play major min. She could play limited min. just to get herself ready for next season. Provided she is totally physically 100%. Of course she is not even practicing yet. I don't think there is a great need for her with the depth this team has at all positions except for point.

willtalk - -How do you know she is not practicing yet? Has that been made clear? She's in the still photos of team practice, but I haven't seen her running in the action videos....
At any rate, if it is truly known that she is not practicing that is important info... GO BEAVS!!

It might also be a bit early for someone that had her injury to already be practicing with the rest of the team. By Practice I am referring to doing what everyone else does and not just a limited version.

Besides the above comment saying Brown was on crutches, there is no way Brown would be anywhere near being able to practice or even be walking normal. She had the injury late in the season last year. Plus, she didn't have the surgery right away. If she is coming back it won't be until really late in the season. Coaches won't take a chance risking further injury by coming back too soon.

Totally agree avidbeaver.....If she is as reported still on crutches now then she will most likely redshirt this year....The team has plenty of height this year with Taylor and Jovana both at 6'4" and Jelena at 6'9", and thats not even mentioning Ellie and Taya both at 6'3". Absolutely no reason to rush KB back for later this season....let her get fully healed up and get her strength and confidence back for a better next year!

hey greybeav - -you're turning into a scoop machine...thanks for doing the kind of research most of us never get around to doing.....Good work. Plus: very good news on Kennedy Brown...I'm hoping she will emerge into a game changer next season.... She's got the body, she's got the defensive skills, she's got the desire, now if she learns to nail that 3 life will get a lot easier for the Beavs..... GO BEAVS!!

I knew I should have recorded it...he said " we hoped to see Greta early june, but she will arrive late June", he said it will be nice to have recruits visit again, the facilities help sell the program, practice gym and new locker room ,etc., he of course praised all the newcomers, Mike Parker pointed out Codding's scoring and esp. rebounding #s. He went on for awhile about Kennedy, her involvement even when not on the court, her voice in the huddle, how we missed her defense, rebounding, etc.
