Louisville is going all out to find opponents. I'd bet our players would be willing to play an away game at Louisville or Arizona, even if it were highly probable to result in a loss. The way games are getting canceled left and right, they are at risk of not playing a game for a couple more weeks. Utah's having problems and might have to cancel, so if Colorado ended up canceling then the next game on the schedule is Oregon on December 13th. Something needs to be done. A game needs to be played. Any game. Imagine the frustration on the part of players and fans if things keep progressing like this. To me, this highlights the faults of overweening government control: In a truly free world, the greatest needs would be addressed and the sports teams that supply uplifting entertainment to 10's of millions of people would be able to BUY early rights to a vaccine, and that vaccine would not be encumbered by layers of rules created by pharmaceutical companies and foisted onto the FDA to preserve their monopolies. Sorry if I'm getting political here, but government disgusts me.

Well, I don't know exactly what to say, but I'm glad they have a chance to hit the floor, and everybody should have a chance to play in those two games.

wow....they should have taken Louisville up on its offer when they had the chance. I won't say anything else other than, you've got to be kidding me.
(ok, 2 more more comments: are these exhibition games or are they really going to count? Kind of embarrassing IMO)

I disagree, they are playing 22 Pac-12 games out of a 25 game schedule. Playing and wins are more important than a tough game for RPI, the pac-12 schedule will handle RPI. I'm just glad they will get to play someone else before playing Colorado or Utah.

I personally don’t see anything wrong with two relatively easy games to start things out. This is a completely new team that is set to start Pac-12 play in just over a week. These games give them an opportunity to get their wheels turning before the war begins!

Any port in a storm. I'm sure efforts were made to schedule an opponent or two more competitive than this, but I guess Team USA wasn't available this year.
We'll destroy them both, but, sometimes, you just gotta take what you can get.

I heard that there is an exhibition game this evening but I don't know who we are playing. Has anyone else heard this?

Any stats whether individually or team do not count. Basically like playing Oregon Tech or Southern Oregon. If the final score is not a 50 point spread I would be surprised. Better than nothing......

At this point, given all the cancellations, it is great to be playing any games before our PAC-12 schedule. Coaches need to see the new players on the floor, in different combinations, against competition. With all the new players, we need time to gel before PAC-12 play.

Most coaches say you have to be about a third to halfway in a season for a young team to gel. Playing two games is not enough to gel IMO.
