Please stop with the facts. They just get in the way Please! There is no consistency across our counties, states, nations, across the globe. That is a fact. My daughter, and a friend went through an OHSU drive through Covid testing location a month ago. My daughter hung in there to complete the testing, even though it took an hour before she even got to the actual "swab". Her friend, wasn't so patient, and, eventually bailed because it took too long. A few days later, my daughter's friend got an email stating that he tested positive for Covid-19, even though he didn't make it to the "swab" stage of OHSU's Covid-19 testing. Key point, you are right, there is NO consistency anywhere! I'm betting the "real" numbers are totally different than what we read. Not a conspiracy theory, just stating the numbers are all over the board as far as accuracy, states, and even counties, apparently are doing their own thing. It's having a huge impact on all of us and there are no shortcuts, and we all want to be safe, but can't "they" at least come up with a uniform protocol so that we have some idea what is real, it's telling that we can't even do that it seems.

If the process is similar to Oregon's, they were listed as a "presumptive" case (even with a negative test result) because they were in "close contact" with her. It's one of the reasons our numbers are spiking because of aggressive contact tracing and testing. Think about it: 13 ladies scrimmage for an hour. One doesn't feel good and tests positive, 12 get tested come back negative, but are listed as "presumptive", the whole team quarantines for 14 days, statewide numbers spike, panic begins to settle in, people in bow ties start enacting draconian rules and our season is in real jeopardy. This has been the strangest reaction to a virus that I have ever seen. I just want to be able to cheer my team on and scream at the refs (especially Missy Barlow and Michael Price)! So the football team found an end around to that rule.
