It is that time of year again. On Wednesday, November 11th, an estimated 17 student-athletes will sign their National Letters of Intent with the Oregon State University baseball program. At best estimate, this year’s class will include fifteen preps that include six pitchers, two catchers, four infielders, a Utility player, and two outfielders. Two Junior College pitchers will also be joining the class. The class geographic makeup includes players from seven states and two foreign countries.
Headlining this year’s class will be OSU’s multi-million dollar outfield – Tyree Reed and Malakhi Knight. Both players are projected to be early round draft picks in the MLB 2021 Draft next summer. Hard work and exceptional skills have them both near the top of MLB draft boards across the major leagues. This OSU class has been slotted to fall in the 15-20 national ranking by the folks that rank draft classes, but that’s dependent on both of them taking the field at Goss Stadium. Any thoughts?
